Dr Romain Briandet, Ph.D.,
is Research Director in the INRA AgroParisTech Micalis joined Unit in Jouy-en-Josas, France. His research focus is on the tolerance of polymicrobial biofilms to antimicrobials. For that, he has developed expertise on multimodal fluorescence imaging using confocal laser scanning microscopy, including spatio-temporal approaches.
Dr. Fabrizio Ensoli, M.D.,Ph.D.,
is the Director of the Pathology and Microbiology, at the Istituti Fisioterapici Ospitalieri (IFO) Rome, Italy, which includes the S. Gallicano Dermatology Institute and the Regina Elena National Cancer Institute. Dr. Ensoli's research focuses at elucidating mechanisms of pathogenesis and/or response to therapy in several clinical indications including dermatology and nosocomial infections, as well as the development of a certified laboratory platform of clinical assays for the monitoring of clinical trials.
Dr. Jeffrey Kaplan, Ph.D.,
is an Associate Professor of Biology and Public Health at American University in Washington DC. He is a world renowned and long standing expert in biofilm science. Dr. Kaplan's current research focuses on mechanisms of biofilm-mediated antibiotic resistance in bacteria, and the discovery and development of novel antibiofilm compounds produced by bacteria.
Dr. Carole McArthur, M.D., Ph.D.,
is a physician and scientist with 20 years of international health experience in Africa. She is a Professor at the University of Missouri in Kansas City who focuses on HIV and Tuberculosis drug resistance and the development and evaluation of diagnostic tools in human and veterinary medicine.
Dr. Olivier Meilhac, Ph.D.,
is Research Director at the Inserm GEICO E1 516, University of La Réunion, Saint-Denis, France. He has published over 65 papers on cardiovascular diseases. Since 2001, Dr Meilhac's research has focused on atherothrombosis in humans using proteomic tools.
Dr Sim K. Singhrao, Ph.D.,

Dr Singhrao is working in the field of oral biofilm bacteria affecting mental health and more broadly on finding ways to disrupt biofilms growing on medical interventional devices. Her passion lies in finding treatments for Alzheimer's disease patients as well helping to deliver clean water during dental treatment.
Dr Dominique Valéri, D.D.M.
is a private dentist and naturotherapeute, with teaching duties at the Paris Faculty of Medicine. Dr Valéri is specialized in buccodental prevention, periodontology and dental naturotherapy.
